The singer gained international recognition for being cast in the Mexican TV show Rebelde for her role as Mia Colucci and for her role as a pop singer in the Latin Grammy Award-winning group RBD. Anahi was the biggest seller of more than 3 million albums in the solo career. Anahi began her professional career in the year 1985 at age 2, on the Mexican TV program Chiquilladas. Anahi, born Marichelo Portilla on May 14th 1983, was the daughter of Enrique Puente (Spanish father) and Marichelo Puente (Mexican mother).
