Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in Ohio, Columbus. Biles is believed to be one of the greatest athletes. In the 2016 Olympics at Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals at the same Games and was also the first gymnast to win three consecutive world all-around titles (2013-15). Biles was born in Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) took them in as adoptees. They grew in Houston's metropolitan area. Simone's fascination with gymnastics started at the age of six when she took a trip with her day-care group to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained under Aimee Borman as coach from 2011. Biles was awarded a gold medal in floor exercises and also a bronze in vault at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010 before breaking into the elite level of gymnastics in the year the year 2011. In less than two years, she dominated the sport. What stood Biles out was her consistency her fun-loving personality, and the high degree of difficulty she incorporated into her routines in all four events--vault uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercises.
